Around 2 Turns is a blog about horse racing that launched in the spring of 2014 and had its heyday during the first six months of 2015. That brief but fertile period resulted in an offer to write a weekly column for the fledgling Blood Horse Daily. “Racing Commentary” ran from August 2015 (when the BHD launched) until September 2018, during which time this blog was effectively dormant. In the three years since we amicably parted company (the BHD fired me, but it came as something of a relief to all of us), I haven’t written much of anything. This blog was put in mothballs while I tried a new approach (an ill-fated effort called “The Pensioner”), but returns today, ready to face our shared uncertain future.
